Michael is a graduate of California State Long Beach, in 1991 he received his bachelor of Arts Degree in Physical Education. He then went on to pursue a State License as a physical Therapy assistant. Michael holds many national certifications in the Strength and Conditioning field including the C.H.E.K Institute and the Poliquin Strength Institute. It is through the National Strength and Conditioning Association that he recertified with distinction and received the highest of honors as a distinguished registered Strength and Conditioning Coach. Michael is also full-body certified as an Active Release Practitioner and is continuing his studies in their masters series program. Michael has been blessed to help the most difficult of cases through his hands on approach to healing, and some of his clients have been able to not only avoid surgery but also continue to enjoy a healthy life style.
Michael works with both Professional and amateur athletes around the world, he is a sought after Titleist Performance golf conditioning expert that does full screenings and assessments for golfers to give them a cutting edge training program for both their strengths and deficiencies. For the past year Michael joined the Active Release Ironman team of professionals to offer services to the worlds finest endurance athletes at Ironman events. Michael finds this as an honor to work on his skills that hopefully makes the difference between winning and losing.
For the past 26 years Michael has dedicated his life to education, and has been trained by some of the worlds finest Physical Therapists and Strength coaches in the world. It is through hard work, dedication and a passion for helping others that Michael can get results quickly and this drives his clients to making better health care decisions.
Michael’s passion is working with youth athletes. He has been on the La Quinta football Medical Staff for the past 10 years and enjoys being on staff at their Health academy where he gives inspirational speeches regarding anatomy and kinesiology. Michael has worked and volunteered many of his services to other local high school sports teams, including the Palm Desert Baseball team that captured the 2010 CIf Championship. He also has gone into high schools and has talked about a healthier lifestyle through nutrition and exercise, and at career day where he has inspired many kids to find a passion for whatever they wish to do in life. For the past 3 years Michael has put together an internship program for those inspired to pursue the health care field. Over the past 6 years, Michael is proud to say that he has trained 47 athletes to either division1 or 2 athletic scholarships in their respected sport. Michael and his wife Susan for the past 10 years have operated a very successful 6 week summer conditioning camp for youth/and adult athletes.
Michael is affiliated with some of the finest organizations in the world, including the National Strength and conditioning Association, American Academy of Sports Medicine, The National Academy of Sports Medicine and The Active Release Ironman National network of professionals.
Michael enjoys public speaking and educating not only the community but professionals in his field as well. He is also a writer, having written golf wellness articles for both the Desert Sun and Golf News magazine for many years. Michael has published DVD’s on both Youth Volleyball wellness and on Golf conditioning through Coaches Choice.
His hobbies are strength training, Hiking researching and spending time with his wife Susan and dog Bentley. He also has a 21 year old son in the U.S.Army.
