SwingFit Golf Performance Conditioning
Whether you are a touring professional, a fitness buff, or a weekend warrior the SwingFit program will get you to tee it up in the right direction. This popular program is specific to meet each individual golfers needs. A thourough comprehensive postural evaluation is performed by your therapist and then a golf specific fitness program is designed from the findings. The evaluation takes approximately 1-1/2 hours and can be videotaped if you desire. You can also have your program presented to you by e mail.
Over the past 20 years there has been some major changes in the golf industry. Technology has improved, courses and a major consumer movement towards participating and purchasing everything from new shafts to spikeless shoes has emerged to making golf a very worldwide popular sport. What hasn’t changed is the physical part of the game. The more you play in such a way that your body doesn’t respond to your swing the more likely you will be layed up in bed for a few days.
What the golfer is starting to realize now is that the club doesn’t play the game but the golfer does. This means that you must take care of your body if you wish to play this game into your later years.

Swingfit is a golf specific conditioning program that addresses a golfers needs to improve on the four main physical components of golf. Stability,flexibility, strength and power.
During a clients first session they are put through a 2 hour comprehensive evaluation by a Certified CHEK Golf Biomechanic, and then based on the results will be given a program that will address that clients needs. Periodic reassessments are performed so that progress will continue until the clients fitness goals are reached.

Kinetix has tailored the most individual golf fitness package available in the desert. You will have a session with our golf teaching professional to analyze your golf swing. Secondly, you will meet with our Fitness expert to discuss what exercise program you are currently doing and what you can either add or eliminate to insure you are doing a golf specific exercise program so that you can get the most out of your body to improve your game.
Both of these sessions are video taped so you can review the findings in the pleasure of your own home and to insure you are doing your exercises using proper form. Based on the findings above you are then given a relaxing, sports oriented massage tailored to meet your individual needs.

Golf Pro
After a successful collegiate, amateur, and professional playing career, Jennifer Yockey embarked on a career as a professional golf instructor in 1998 when she joined the David Leadbetter Golf Academy. During her three years at the DLGA, she helped train top-level juniors in swing mechanics as well focusing on the physical and mental aspects of the game. Jennifer has also been an instructor with Mike Wilson Golf, and is currently the Teaching Professional at Rancho La Quinta Country Club. Jennifer is certified as a Golf Biomechanic by the CHEK Institute, and in club fitting by Titleist, Henry Griffitts and Square Two. She is also a Member of the LPGA Teaching and Club Professional Division and is current coach to PGA Tour player Todd Fischer and several male and female mini-tour players.
Golf Biomechanic Specialist
Michael is a graduate of California State University at Long Beach. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education/ Athletic Training in 1991. He currently holds a license as a Physical Therapist Assistant, Certifications through the C.H.E.K Institute as a level one practitioner, Paul St Johns Neuromuscular Therapy and as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He also holds certifications in Sports Nutrition, Metabolic Typing and CPR
Through his SwingFit program he has trained golfers both at the professional and amateur levels, and offered seminars in the prevention of golf injuries. Michael has also written weekly golf fitness articles for The Desert Sun.
