Michael Butler, B.A.; P.T.A.; CSCS; PES; NMT

Michael is a graduate of California State University at Long Beach. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education/ Athletic Training in 1991. He currently holds a license as a Physical Therapist Assistant, Certifications through the C.H.E.K Institute as a level three practitioner, Paul St Johns Neuromuscular Therapy and as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Certified SPARQ Trainer and Performance Enhancement Specialist. He also holds certifications in Sports Nutrition, Metabolic Typing and is certified as a First Aid/CPR and AED instructor through The American Red Cross.
Michael has been in the healthcare field industry for the past 20 years. He was the former Director at Rancho Physical Therapy in Palm Desert, where he has rehabilitated and trained athletes from all disciplines and has directed conditioning camps here in the valley for the past 4 years. Through his SwingFit program he has trained golfers both at the professional and amateur levels, and offered seminars in the prevention of golf injuries. Mi- chael has also written weekly golf fitness articles for The Desert Sun.
Michael sees the need to helping the youth reach their fitness/ wellness goals and to of- fer a high caliber of functional training skills to the athlete in the pursuit of reaching the next level, whether it be a division1 scholarship, or reaching the professional level in their sport.
Susan Butler, NMT; LMT

Susan is co-owner of Kinetix Health and Performance Center, and has been a licensed Massage Therapist for over twenty years. She started doing mas- sage as an adolescent on family members then worked for a physical thera- pist at a young age. Patients in the office inspired her to pursue the mas- sage and medical fields.
Her background includes working with professional athletes, corporate ex- ecutives, pediatric and geriatric clients. Twelve years ago she was the founder of Body Workers. Her company worked directly with corporate of- fices through their wellness programs to relieve stress at their site. Her clients consisted of Mattel, The Getty, Amgen, Xerox, Toyota and Nissan.Most re- cently Susan became certified as a Neuromuscular Therapist through the Paul St Johns Neuromuscular Institute.
She loves her work and feels very fortunate that she can work in a field helping others get well. She offers her work to you without an “a la carte” fee breakdown, you can be assured you will receive exactly what your body needs every time you have a session.
Satoko Hata “Sachi”
Sachi is a graduate of DRSS. Coming to us with a wide background of training, she has spent the last five years of her practice mostly working in a private setting. She has assisted us in our corporate golf events and we have received positive feedback regarding her style of work.
We are delighted with her professional yet caring demeanor. Sachi is intuitive, a very good listener, and will give each individual client exactly what he or she needs and prefers, whether a light relaxing touch or deep therapeutic work. Most important is that Sachi is gifted with an intuitive touch that cannot be taught but marks the difference between an average massage and a spectacular massage.
Sachi is a member of ABMP (Associated Bodyworkers & Massage Professionals) This means that her level of education is high and is maintained with continuing education to remain current.
Mike Walsh, BS; CSCS
USAW Level 1 Coach

Mike received his Bachelor of Science in exercise science from Humboldt State University. Mike was a member of the men’s soccer team that won the first conference championship for Humboldt and was Academic All American. While at Humboldt Mike spent 3 years serving as an assistant strength coach, designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for Humboldt’s Athletic Teams. He also worked in the Human Performance Lab conducting treadmill and EKG testing, fitness assessments and body composition testing.
After teaching at the high school level for four years he returned to Hum- boldt for his masters degree. Currently Mike is a teacher with in the De- sert Sands Unified School District and has worked with Kinetix for the past 6 years. He has assisted in the summer youth conditioning camps and conducts Olympic style weight lifting and Vertimax classes. Mike is a cer- tified strength and conditioning specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a USA Weight Lifting level 1 coach.
Mike enjoys working with athletes of all ages to improve athleticism and general fitness. Mike believes in functional training not only to improve athletic performance but also to improve quality of life. He has been involved in strength and conditioning for over 10 years.

Kim is a Certified Personal Trainer, a Certified Nutrition & Wellness Consultant through the American Fitness Professionals & Associates. She is also certified in CPR through the American Heart Association.
Kim’s approach to health and fitness is combining dietary wellness with a progressive fitness program. She is dedicated to encourage her cli- ents to live a balanced lifestyle; Body, Mind, and Spirit. She actively supports her clients with the tools necessary to achieve “Healthy Atti- tudes”, a dietary program designed to track success. She will work with you to facilitate lifestyle awareness for a better quality of life. Kim is blessed to work with the professionals on staff to encourage all clients and athletes to rediscover their inner strength to accomplish their goals.
Josh Hedgecock
Certified Fitness Trainer
Josh is a Coachella Valley native, a certified fitness trainer and a TRX Suspension Trainer. He has studied Aikido for over 10 years and is also accomplished in many other of the martial arts.
From a very young age, Josh became interested in fitness through weightlifting. This experience opened new doors for him and he quickly developed a passion for the fitness industry. Since 1990, Josh has trained clients at local gyms and private workout studios, along the way attending professional workshops to learn from the best including Todd Durkin, TRX professional education and most recently with Michael Butler of Kinetix Health and Performance Center.
Josh joined the Kinetix team in May 2011, where he continues to train individuals one on one as well as leading the early morning Kinetix Circuit Training class. Josh is also a trainer in the Kinetix summer sports conditioning camp and VertimaxTM classes.
Josh takes great pride in helping his clients reach their fitness goals by sharing his experience and knowledge, and helping them lead a healthier lifestyle through proper exercise and good nutritional habits.

Lou has been involved in fitness for a very long time. Starting with this childhood playing soccer, football and golf to his years in High School where he was on the Swim Team and played Water Polo for 3 seasons. A 6-year enlistment in the Navy was next where he found his true passion: working out and training clients in the gym for fitness.
For the last 20 years Lou has been learning on a daily basis different aspects of Health and Fitness. Whether it is Nutrition, Medicine or Strength Training, Lou has dedicated his time and efforts into learn- ing so he can help his clientele from ages ranging 8 years old to 70+ years old reach the highest levels of fitness or health. A firm believer in weight training and nutrition techniques to improve clients in the fastest way possible has Lou working hard to achieve his career goal of training Olympic and Professional caliber athletes.
Trudy Yeager N.C.P.T.T.
Certified Personal Trainer, Nutritional Consultant
Trudy has been a professional athlete for 25 years. Beginning at 8 years of age, she followed her family background of Olympic ice skaters which led to many competitive sports competitions such as tennis, track, body building, cycling, martial arts, skiing, and dance. Trudy is certified through The National Council for Certified Personal Trainers and is CPR/AED certified through The American Red Cross.
Her background includes Life and Health Balancing, Strength and Conditioning, Adult and Youth Fitness, and Circuit Training. She uses various techniques such as Core and Bosu, plus stretching and movement using the band and roller to improve body strength, flexibility and balance.
She gives public and private instruction on nutrition and holds nutritional cooking classes both in her home and various public venues where she lectures while demonstrating how to choose and prepare health enhancing menus. She is a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier International, a worldwide society of professional women of high achievement in the culinary arts.
Trudy is dedicated to her clients and wants to ensure that each individual, no matter what level of fitness, has a better understanding of how to become their personal best.

Mary L. Bohn
Certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Consultant
Mary attended the National Personal Training Institute in Palm Desert, graduating with a certificate in personal training.
Her background includes competitive running, golf, hiking and “every health craze that hit the country” for the past 30 years!
Mary lived and raised her three daughters in Manhattan Beach before moving to the desert last year. Living at the beach, her daughters began competitive swim careers, through age group, club, high school and college.
Mary is certified in CPR and AED, water aerobics, and as a nutritional
consultant. She has worked with all ages, from children in the Special Olympics, to seniors, concentrating on balance, flexibility, and range of motion.
Mary is dedicated to her clients and wants to ensure that each individual, no matter what level of fitness, has a better understanding of how to become their personal best and have fun doing it.
Gaylynn Leonard
Yoga and Pilates Instructor
Gaylynn Leonard is a Polestar Certified Pilates Instructor and Certified Yoga Instructor. She holds a B. S. degree in Physical Fitness. With 29 years in the fitness Industry, her teaching emphasizes working from the core and proper alignment to achieve total body fitness, joint mobility and function for healthy pain free living.
Phillip Bibb
Yoga
Phillip began his personal yoga practice in 1988 and became certified as personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise and began his massage therapy education. In 2002 he attended my first yoga teacher training at the Heartwood Institute in Garberville CA. In 2007 he attended my second yoga teacher training at Frog Lotus Yoga in North Adams, MA. I have studied with several seasoned teachers in the Iyengar, Anusara, Hatha Raja, Ashtanga and Vinyassa traditions. He has taught yoga classes and private sessions and presented workshops in Hawaii and Northern and Southern CA since 2002.
He is also a massage therapist and is certified in the following modalities; deep tissue, anatomy, trigger point therapy, positional release, reflexology, acupuncture and aquatic bodywork and Thai massage. He is RYT member of Yoga Alliance and NAMASTA .
